Fixed quote before any repair

Repair prices

We don’t publish a fixed price list because it would be misleading: the price of a repair depends on the model, the part and the actual condition of the device. What we do guarantee is that you’ll know it before we touch anything.

You won’t find a fixed price list here, and that’s deliberate: publishing a price makes it an offer, and it has to match what you’re actually charged. Ask us on WhatsApp and we’ll give you a ballpark as soon as we know the model and the fault, with no obligation.

What determines the price

Two iPhones with cracked screens can cost very different amounts, and it isn’t arbitrary. These are the factors that actually move the price:

  • The model. The newer and larger the panel, the more expensive the part. On a MacBook, a Retina panel and a complete lid assembly are nothing alike in cost.
  • Which part has to be replaced. Replacing only the glass when the panel is intact and replacing the whole laminated assembly are two different jobs, and the price says so.
  • Module fault or board fault. Swapping a module is quick; repairing the board at chip level takes diagnosis and hours under the microscope, and that work is what you pay for. Why we attempt it at all instead of sending you off for a new board is on the right to repair.
  • Hidden damage. A device that got wet, or that has already been to another workshop, almost always hides something else. That’s why the quote comes after opening it, not before.
  • Part quality. Some repairs have several replacement options with real differences in brightness, touch response and power draw. We explain them and you choose.

What the price always includes

  • The initial diagnosis, which is free, and the in-depth diagnosis when it’s needed, already included in the repair price.
  • The labour and full reassembly of the device.
  • Functional testing before you get it back.
  • The repair warranty in writing. Terms on the warranty page.

How we like it to work

  1. 01You message us with the model and the faultThat’s enough for a ballpark on WhatsApp, so you don’t leave home without an idea of where this is heading.
  2. 02We look at the deviceThe initial diagnosis needs the device in front of us. It’s free and commits you to nothing.
  3. 03We give you a fixed price and a timeframeIf something else turns up once it’s open, we stop and call you before continuing. The invoice is never higher than the quote you accepted.

Repair or replace?

It’s a fair question and we answer it honestly. A battery or a screen on a device that’s otherwise healthy nearly always pays off: you add years of life to a machine you already know and have already set up, and you keep some electronics out of the bin.

When it doesn’t pay off, we say so even if it means losing the repair. If the device is old, no longer gets updates and needs several expensive repairs at once, replacing it is the sensible call and we’ll tell you so with the numbers in front of us.

Estimated service cost

Pick the device and the model to see what each repair usually costs. These are estimates: the fixed quote comes after the diagnosis, and that’s what you’re charged.

We don’t publish figures we haven’t confirmed: a published price is an offer, and it has to match what you’re actually charged. Get in touch and we’ll quote for your case.

Frequently asked questions

Do you charge for the diagnosis?

Not for the initial one. We check the device, test charging and power-up and rule out the obvious, and that’s often enough to know where the fault is. An in-depth diagnosis is another matter: stripping the device down and measuring the board under a microscope takes hours, so it does carry a cost. We tell you how much before starting, never after.

Can the quote go up afterwards?

No. The quote you accept is what you’re invoiced. If opening it reveals damage that wasn’t visible from outside — common on water-damaged devices — we stop and call you so you can decide before we continue.

Can I supply the part myself?

Get in touch and we’ll discuss it case by case. Bear in mind that the repair warranty covers our work and the parts we fit; with a part brought in from elsewhere we can’t vouch for its quality.

Do you take card payments?

Yes. We’ll confirm the available payment methods when you collect the device.

Shall we take a look?

Tell us what’s wrong and we’ll tell you what it is, what it costs and how long it takes. No obligation, and the initial diagnosis is free.
